The Study On Security Cooperation Relations Between Japan And ASEAN In The Post-Cold War Era

Each section attempts to supply an appropriate interpretation of theory and practical for the study.The first section is the introduction of the security awareness and security policy between Japan and ASEAN, which try to explore the reason why have exist security cooperation partnership between the great power and a group of countries constitutes a collection of small countries in East Asia. Due to facing the changing security environment in East Asia, two actors pursue the similar security concept, named"comprehensive security". The "comprehensive security" concept in the context of East Asian development is divided into two, which emphasis on external guide orientation (outward-looking) in Japan and ideas guided orientation (inward-looking) in ASEAN. The main theory line is the similarities and differences between the security concept, and they take safe by cooperative security. Taking security environment and the concept of security as the background, described the two actors'perspective elaborated within each of the main viewpoints and policies specifically. Japan's security strategy steers for regionalism, which is a reason why Japan takes ASEAN as key considerations in his security strategy. Therefore, China should focus on the development of bilateral security cooperation with ASEAN, especially in the field of ASEAN and Japan bilateral security cooperation. It will compress the space that Japan to play a role in political and security. Meanwhile, in the field of multilateral security cooperation, China should take the action of evolved in Japan and ASEAN's security cooperation actively. The strength of the joint ASEAN and Japan together to create a favorable security environment in East Asia.
