After the Cold War, the pattern of international politics entered a new era. Profound changes are taken in the international community today, the most complex cases of human society are emerging:America's international position suffered a relative decline, new rising states and non-state actors enjoyed great development, European Union's alignment cooperated deeply, Islamic extremist's activities spread widely, North Korea and Iran nuclear issue……the world is undergoing an age of nonpolarity. The principal characteristic of twenty-first-century international relations is turning out to be nonpolarity:a world dominated not by one or two or even several states but rather by dozens of actors possessing and performing various kinds of power. This represents a tectonic shift from the past. American's failure in Iraq War, declining in economic status, weakening of political influence, couple with the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis triggered by the global financial crisis in 2008, makes the situation even worse. Which makes U. S. farewell to the unipolar moment and the unipolar world become a part of history. Non-state actors in the international system today, the rise in status and role of the international situation has also led to the reality of the direction to the non-polar world. In short, with these developments going, the prospect of a non-polar world comes more and more clearly. What my article attempt to introduce is the theory of nonpolarity of international pattern, then point out its correction and limitation. This paper is started from the definition of the international pattern and the basic types of it, and some cases of current international situation will be analyzed in the systematic way. Base on the description of other theory of current international pattern, I'll introduce the nonpolarity theory. The first chapter illustrated the theoretical background of the international pattern, including the definition of the international situation, the basic features of the theory and history of the international pattern mode, and the current international situation on the main academic point of view. As the focus of this article, in the second chapter, firstly I'll describe the definition of a non-polar world, and introduce the reason to propose this theory. Secondly, I'll try to illustrate views from scholars who proposed this non-polar world respectively. Mainly from economic globalization, the Iraq war, the U.S. financial crisis, the collective rise of emerging countries and non-international actors which led to the relative decline of the U.S. position, which will be discussed from several angles to reach the reason why world become nonpolarity. And in the last chapter, I'd like to present descriptions from different scholars to describe a non-polar world. And advices will be given in China's strategic choice.
