China is a big country which has a lot of delicious food. However, the frequent occurrence of food safety problems in recent years, especially last year's melamine milk powder incident, make everyone panic on the food safety issues, one can not help asking:What to eat safely? With the issue of Food Safety Law, people regard it as a sharp sword., playing a more active role on the prevention and containment of major food and agricultural product quality safety accident. However, only this is not enough in the field of food security as there is no shortcut on this issue. Therefore, building up a set of food safety control system with Chinese characteristics is not only imperative, but also a long-term strategy.This paper attempts to start from the research of a system of food safety control through analysis of their status, and found the problem and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for China's food safety problems.Through research the author finds the main problem of China's food safety control system is that the food safety legislative system is far from complete, as well as the imperfect judicial supervision and so on.As a result, to improve China's food safety regulatory system, we must first obey the rules of law, follow the efficiency and openness principle. Specifically, we should do our utmost to establish a complete legal system for food safety standards and an early-warning reporting system of food safety information, strengthen law enforcement and international cooperation on food safety to ensure food security and people's health.
