The legislation on protection of the Olympic symbols plays a vital role on the host country holding a successful Olympic Games.However,by analysing of existing laws of Olympic symbols we can find that although the world made a consensus on that the Olympic symbols should be protected,but reling on the international treaties is not just enough to protect it in a comprehensive and detailed way.Only if we develop domestic laws to protect the Olympic symbols which is based on national legal traditions and legislative practices and the existing international treaties of protection of Olympic symbols.As the country's legal tradition and existing differences in legal systems,the legislative practices of protection on the Olympic symbols have varied.There are both advantages and disadvantages in practices of domestic legislation of countries.It's a great practical significance to analysing the content of legislative protection on the Olympic symbols,to obtain the experiences which is worth learning,and propose recommendations for improvement for the future.If you want the study of domestic legislation on the protection of the Olympic symbols,first to know is to acknowledge the basic issues of the Olympic symbols.The first three parts of this article discussed the basic issues of the Olympic symbols,such as what is the Olympic symbols,why to protect it and so on.Secondly,the study of domestic legislation on the protection of the Olympic symbols in various countries should be based on the analysis of practices of domestic legislative protection.The United States,Australia,China and the United Kingdom are representatives of Olympic Games host countries on behalf of domestic legislation on protection of the Olympic symbols.By analysing the domestic legislation of protection on the Olympic symbols,the two parts after sum up the legislative reference content,identify the shortcomings in national legislation practices and make recommendations for improvements,such as harmonize the form of domestic legislation,improve the scope of legal protection,make standards for uniform violations.
