In the concept of the politics and legislation of the west which are represented by the United States, freedom of the press is fundamental to democracy. Its vitality is to report the reality objectively whether the government will to disclose the fact or not. But every country has some information related to nation safety and benefits which are kept as nation secrets and unknown to the public. And the conflict between keeping nation secrets and advocating freedom of the press is inevitable. This article tried to discuss the revelation that news legislation in China which has been discussed a lot could get from the news system in West by investigating the changing and improving process of the relationship between the freedom of the press and keeping nation secrets.
