As one important part of Mao Zedong Thought, Mao Zedong's concept of socialism is all of Mao Zedong's personal understanding and views of socialism, which has a more complete system. Before the start of the Sino-Soviet debate, especially before and after The 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong's concept of socialism had collected the results from the former Soviet Union reflecting on the Lessons of Stalin's. Mao Zedong had published "On the Ten Major Relationships", "On the Correct Handling of Contradictions Among the People" and other works. He first proposed that building a socialist needed to follow a path suited to China's situation and he made useful explorations for the road of china's socialist construction. During this period, the idea he made was correct overall. Later, however, the Sino-Soviet Great Debate occurred, which strengthened the Mao's "Anti-revisionist revisionism" thought continuously and accelerated Mao Zedong's concept of socialism moving in the direction of the "left" thinking. Mao Zedong's concept of socialism that deviated from the correct path at this time also led to the "Cultural Revolution" directly.
