Research On Problems And The Countermeasures Of Popularization Task Of Chinese Contemporary Marxism

On the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Comrade Hu Jintao definitely put forward the task that we should carry out popularization and propaganda work on the socialism theory system with Chinese characteristics to promote the contemporary Chinese Marxism to be popularized." This is the first time that the popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism be put forward in the document of our Party. The contemporary Chinese Marxism, as a scientific and advanced theory, only when it is popularized, can be turned into great power in the transformation of the objective world, and then play its due role in the practice. Therefore, the research on the new subject upon the popularization of contemporary Chinese Marxism possesses great realistic significance as well as far-reaching historical significance. However, in practice, the contemporary Chinese Marxism also faces a number of difficulties and problems that how to promote the popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism, especially, to explore an effective way to achieve popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism is a pressing theoretical subject and a significantly practical task. This thesis mainly focuses and studies three aspects of the issues related to the popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism, such as the meaning and significance of it, difficulties to face, countermeasures and ways to promote the work and so on.First, through analysis of the scientific meaning of the contemporary Chinese Marxism, the significance of the popularization of contemporary Chinese Marxism is concluded in consequence, in which definition of related concepts and meaning is clearly defined, and the significance of the popularization of contemporary Chinese Marxism is discussed as well, in terms of four aspects including the essential need of Marxism theory, the consolidation of Marxism's guiding position in the ideological field, maintenance of vitality and vigor of the Party's theory, and continuing to promote the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Among them, consolidating of Marxism's guiding position in the ideological field, constructing the socialism core value system and leading the trend of social thought are major subjects we are facing in the social transition period. Second, based on the ealities and reference materials, the thesis concludes difficulties that the contemporary Chinese Marxism is facing in the process of its popularization, which mainly involve challenges to the Marxism popularization under the background of globalization and with the new changes in social transition. Those difficulties also cover a number of remarkable issues in the current popularization and propaganda work of Chinese Marxism theory, such as that the work is not given enough attention, attitude on study is not serious enough, and methods on the work is outdated.Third, Countermeasures and Methods to promote the popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism are proposed. This is the part that is connected with the practical operation most closely, and thus it is expounded with relatively large scale section. It makes discussion to explore the ways of how to achieve the popularization of the contemporary Chinese Marxism, mainly in terms of the theory construction, system and mechanism building, and improvement on propaganda and education work to create a better social environment.
