This paper shows Marshall's Entrepreneur Theory after analyzed his works. The term "entrepreneur"is the core of his entrepreneur theory. In the course of analyzing on his entrepreneur concept, the paper adopts historical method, and combs the course in which the entrepreneur concept produced and evolved. This paper analyses the evolution characteristic of entrepreneur concept through analyzing the history of entrepreneur concept. It is that many kinds of roles, which are included in entrepreneur concept, are sublimated gradually with the development of division of labor in society, and only one or two kinds have stayed finally. The paper summarizes the characteristic with the term " the Role Purification ", and describes historical position and characteristic of Marshall's entrepreneur concept in view of the evolution characteristic, and offers the route to solve the doubt existing among it. Marshall shows his entrepreneur theory in detail with his own understanding of entrepreneur concept. The paper analyses entrepreneur theory in five sections that are entrepreneur's abilities, remuneration, function, and the entrepreneur's forming processes, etc.. Finally, this paper analyses Marshall's view of human nature on entrepreneur and the relation between entrepreneur and environment, and analyses historical position of Marshall's Entrepreneur Theory that is taking over from the past and setting a new course for the future. When Marshall analyses the entrepreneur theory he refers to many fields, such as economics, philosophy, history, biology, etc., so the paper put it into the frame of history and analysis it with philosophy method which is essential and enlightening.
