An Analysis On Chinese Peasantry' Diversification

Peasantry is the largest social community in China now and the problem ofpeasantry has always the central problem of Chinese society. The problem of Chinesepeasantry' diversification is the largest variable in the process of modernization, whichit is inevitable and deserve attention. The article does some analyses on the problem. The article includes four parts besides the prelude. The first part describes thesource of peasantry' diversification. First, analyzes the problem of peasantry'diversification theoretically; then describes the modes of peasantry' diversification inthe western developed countries; analyzes the current situation of Chinese peasantry'diversification, in the end. The second part analyzes the significance of peasantry' diversification in China.The article mainly expounds the effects that the peasantry ' diversification has onChinese political development through five factors. They are as follows: the peasantry'diversification prepares the important condition for the enlargement of public politicalinvolvement; the peasantry' diversification benefits the development of Chinesepolitical culture; the peasantry' diversification will help realize the lasting stability ofChina' politics; the peasantry' diversification will increase the level of thedemocratization of Chinese politics; and the peasantry' diversification will enhance thestandard of the systematization of Chinese politics. The third part analyzes the particular difficulties that Chinese peasantry'diversification faces. The peasantry' diversification in China is an active process ofsociety development. In contemporary China ,only can the peasantry' diversificationembody social advance, however, once it is stopped ,some aspects in economy, politics,culture will be affected immensely. The fourth part offers the ideas of dealing with peasantry' diversification. The workof Chinese peasantry' diversification is so arduous that it requires that we make use ofevery advantageous condition to promote the process of peasantry' diversification. Thearticle describes several steps to solve it. They are: Improving agricultural productivityas the basis of peasantry' diversification; Town enterprises as the important means ofpeasantry' diversification; Accelerating the process of urbanization;Developing theservice industry; Deepening the reform of census register system; marketingemployment and unifying mechanism; Reinforcing elementary education andemployment training.
