Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Foreign Trade And Economic Growth Of Liaoning Province

This text regards relationship between foreign trade and economic growth of LiaoningProvince as the research object, probes into foreign trade facilitation to economic growthemphatically, tries hard in terms of empirical study, scientific, objective calculatesquantitative relationship of two, which is the base of analyzing problem. Main research approach of this text is the combination of qualitative and quantitativeanalysis, the combination of empirical and norm analysis, using co-integration techniques andGranger-Causality test , carries empirical analysis on relationship of the foreign trade andeconomic growth of Liaoning Province. Besides foreword and conclusion, this text divides four chapters altogether: The foreword mainly explained the domestic and international research current situationof this field and the theory meaning and practice value of the selected title. Chapter one is a theoretical foundation part, at first has reviewed three kinds of views ofrelationship between foreign trade and economic growth: the theory of free trade is the engineof the economic growth, the theory of free trade endangers the economic development and thetheory of trade is slave girl of increase. Secondly has introduced research current theory andpractice situation of the domestic scholars on relationship between foreign trade andeconomic growth , comparing the research, finding out its common defect and deficiency . Chapter two is empirical study on between foreign trade and economic growth ofLiaoning Province , carries on qualitative and quantitative analysis of relationship between1980～2002 export trade and economic growth, import trade and economic growth mainly,draws the conclusion vertically comparing with its one's own time. Then carry ongranger-causality to examine to foreign trade and economic growth, investigates the causalityof the two, summing up the overall conclusion of a chapter finally. Chapter three is the comparative analysis of foreign trade facilitation to economic growthLiaoning Province, the national and eastern area, comparing from horizontally time mainlythe ratio of dependence on foreign trade, the ratio of dependence on foreign capitals, the ratioof dependence on foreign opening, the proportion of export goods, investigate what kind ofposition of facilitation to economic growth of Liaoning Province in the whole country, at whatkind of position in the eastern area. Chapter four is reason analysis and development countermeasure of weakened for theforeign trade facilitation to economic growth of Liaoning Province, mainly provesdevelopment lagging of foreign trade that causes the weakness of facilitation to economicgrowth , expound the main reason of development lagging of foreign trade from five respect:policy , economic system and structure , idea , private economy , foreign tradecompetitiveness , put forward the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion finally. The conclusion part is the brief summa or further explains of this main view of thesis.
