The Research Of The Development Strategy Of The Scientific Research Institute Of Chengdu Railway Bureau

Along with the high-speed development of our national economy, the important status of the railway transport is becoming more and more distinctly. Because the development of the railway lags behind that of the national economy, the bottleneck of the transport is even more seriously, and restricts the high-speed development of the national economy. CDRI is a unit directly under the Chengdu Railway Bureau, and it is a special R&D institution on applied technology. Under the rapidly changed market circumstance, there are both rare opportunities and severe challenges. A development strategy according with the reality of the enterprise as well as the demand of the market, becomes the key to the continual development of CDRI.This essay takes CDRI as object of study, and expound with the theory of enterprise development strategic management and with the tools such as "Five Forces Analysis" of M.E.Porter and SWOT analysis.First, it detailedly analyses the macro development trend of the railway, points out the well foreground of the railway development of our nation during a period of time. Secondly, it uses the theory of M.E.Porter's "Five Forces Analysis", which is about the competence between competitive rivalry and bargaining power of suppliers and buyers , threats from potential entrants and substitute ,to analyses particularly about the railway science and technology trades. In chapter 5, an internal resources analysis especially about the organization structure, human resources , capital and financial status of CDRI has been made, and it also makes a SWOT analysis about the strengths , weakness, opportunity and threats . Finally, it provides the corporate strategy , competitive strategy, put forward their implementation procedures and safeguards of CDRI according to the principle ofstrategy management theory ,that is exerting strengths, getting over weakness, utilizing opportunity and evading threats.
