BichengLee was an uncommon and prominent female in modern china. She actively devoted herself to feminism movement in early days, propagated to instruct women in learning, advocated educational reform and set up Beiyang public female school. Therefore she personally realized economic self-reliance, equal opening of social communication between men and women and marriage freedom. Meanwhile, she also studied abroad, and traveled around Europe and America. All she had practiced and experienced made great contribution to the women's emancipating campaign in modern times. In her later life, BichengLee was engaged in researching into Buddhism theory, with care and translating. Buddhist work, promoted the idea-"stop killing animals while protect them", and safeguarded their lives, from advocating women's rights to life-protecting. In a word, she made new contribution to the cultural exchange between orient and Occident.This article is composed of six parts. I discuss all the Bicheng's life, why to choose this title to write, and look back on the history of academic about it in the preface, discussing the cause of women rights forming about her in the first chapter jdiscussing the view of women's right -. practice and influence about BichengLee in the second chapter, the reason why she changes from advocating women's rights to life-protecting in the third chapter ,and activities and influence about life-protecting in the fourth chapter; discussing the illuminating remarks of women's right movement to us at last.
