The treatment of bone injuries is in great demand. There are about 7.75 million patients suffering from limbs disabilities and yearly 3 million bone-injury sufferers in China. A mass demand for bone substitutes is required, especially for those big area wounds (>30 mm), which has been a pressing task.Currently the two treatment methods of bone injuries including autograft and allograft have their own defects. Autograft brings much pain to the patient himself, because the patient must undergo two separate surgeries and secondly its application is limited due to the short supply of bones. While allograft often leads to failure because of antigenicity. At the same time the present clinical artificial bone substitutes are mostly made of metal, ceramics or other macromolecule materials, whose bio-compatibility, bio-activity, bio-degradability and other aspects still carry irremediable disadvantages.ReLive Sci-Tech, with the support of State 863 Program, have developed a non-antigenic poly-porous bone scaffold material in the light of bionics, which overcomes the disadvantages in the course of traditional bone transplantation and find out a nearly perfect solution for the rehabilitation of large area injuries.Nano-HA / Collagen / PLA composite, dubbed the "nano-bone" is a newly developed product of global pioneering technology, for which ReLive Sci-Tech are in possession of four Chinese invention patents and one American patent.
