The labor mode determines the alternation of society. In the past decades, the work model of human society has changed fundamentally, transforming from operational tasks based on physical strength from knowledge tasks based on mentality. Knowledge Work (KW) has become the main trend of modern work model, and the concept of Knowledge Economy is generated therefore.Human Resource Management (HRM) at knowledge economy age will focus on knowledge management (KM). Just as Peter Drucker said: To make knowledge work more productive will be the great management task of this century, just as to make manual work productive was the great management task of the last century. However, the research and practice of KM mainly concentrates at Information Management, Knowledge Transforming and Knowledge Sharing. And the study of KW, the core content of the KM was by no means in-depth, even a standard definition of KW is lack0To this issue, based on KW, and on basis of related research documents and study results from domestic and abroad, this paper deeply analyzed multitudinous factors which affected KW, and studied the classification of KW with Systematology and methods of and Mathematical Statistics. Along the way of combination of theory and practice, this article put forward some innovative research views.Firstly, this paper outlined lots of research documents about KW, and gave a new understand of KW concept, especially made a clear definition of the KW Object. This paper brought forward concept of Knowledge Body, and expanded the problem should be resolved in this paper. This part is the theoretical premise of the paper.Secondly, establishing cognitive model of KW, with systemic viewpoint, the author made an integrative investigation of the factors which affected KW, and made further theory exploration and cases study on the component elements of this model. Extracting assessment index of KW from cognitive model, the author quantified,classified analyzed and integrated these indexes, finally formed the system of comprehensive indexes of on KW classification, and established 3D classification assessment model of KW.Last, exploration on quantitative appraisal of KW. The thesis proposed a new appraisal method of Frontier Capability Synthetism. This method has been tested with cases of good practicality.The theoretical meaning of the research of this article lies in appropriately applying study methods, as Systematology and Mathematical Statistics, to the study of KM. Meanwhile, the practical sense of research is affording an effective route to resolve the problem how to raise the efficiency of KW.
