Studies On The Internal Quality Management System Of The Big Seed Companies In China

Analysis of business of seed industry in China showed that the industry is stepping into the favorable stage of the large scale, good foundation, multiple business, grouping and lawful regulation and that the seed enterprises can be divided into five classes gigantic, big, medium, small and mini-type on the basis of their business scale. The gigantic or big enterprises are characterized by clear brand superiority, rapidly expanding business and accelerating region invasion and reveal the problems of unequal product quality, difficult internal quality control, lenient quality requirement and occasional seed quality accidents. The reasons for these problems may be delayed knowledge of seed quality, poor technical supports and especially underdeveloped seed quality system. And therefore, a new system and its corresponding management measures of seed quality control were proposed. The system of internal quality management in the big seed enterprises should establish 5 sub-systems, i.e., internal supervision and warranty, departments and personnel, sales and service, technical support and guarantee, and seed quality certification sub-system.
