A Look At Women's Situation In Modern China In Terms Of Family

Women's status is considered as the effect and authority in society and family. There must be a tendency to raise Women's status. That also indicates level of social civilization. It is quite meaningful to study women's status for improving women's living conditions and environment, safe guarding women's right and interests, raising women's status and encouraging women to play more important role in society and country. But family violence, which is a bad phenomenon in society, is harmful to raisins women's status. Family violence, which violates women's person right, threatens women's health and security, harms the family and society seriously, is worth being cared about in the world.Government promotes women's status to raise in creasing, however, compared with men, it is still low because of traditional culture influence in China, family violence also shows that women are not equal to men definitely. Issued from why the higher status women have, the more family violence there exist, the thesis looks closely at women's status under new time condition. Family violence is not a phenomenon that has no relation to society but a faithful representation of women's social situation. It is also the concentrative reflection of unequality between the sexes in family, society, politics, economy, culture and so on.There are four parts in the thesis:Part I: Family Violence. Secondly, summarizing characteristic of Family Violence in order for people to get a deeper understanding of essence of Family Violence.Part II: The relation ship between Women's status and Family Violence. This partforming a connecting link between the preceding and the following combines Part I and Part III. Firstly, analyzing main reason women become the object of Family Violence. Secondly, analyzing mutual effects and internal relationship between Women's status and Family Violence. This is a creative point as well as a difficulty, it demonstrates the internal relationship between Women's status and Family Violence.Part III: Analysis of contemporary women's status, This is importance of whole text. It analyses the women's status from two sides: one is from family, it analyses women's status in family, another is from society, it analyses women's social status. It finally demonstrates that though promoted by government, the women's status raises increasingly, not equal to men's status, compared with men, it is still low.Furthermore, the writer explores and analyses in all aspects reasons that cause unequality between the sexes.Part IV: Way and thought to raise women's status. This thesis provides reference for deciding a policy mainly from concept, education, legal system, women organization and so on.
