| Innovation has been the strongest calling of the present Chinese era.Institutional innovation lies in the basic position in all innovation words. In Institutional Changes and Economic Achievement, North, a western new institutional economist, made clear the purpose and theme from the very beginning: "Institution lays the encouraging structures in which people make exchange in political ,social or economic realm. Insitutional changes determine the ways of social evolution. Therefore, it is the key of explaining historic changes." The theory of Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation have huge significance that has been proved by glorious achievements from over twenty years' reform and opening. So, summarizing its plentiful connatation systematically and analyzing its fundamental mind deeply, have very important directing value undoubtedly to push on innovation practice of socialist institution with Chinese characteristics.This article includes four sections besides preface. Its main content is:Preface, we mainly analyzed and defined specific connotation of Deng Xiaoping's "Instutional Innovation".Deng Xiaoping gave explanatory notes of institutional innovation uniquely and completely in the course of thinking and devising Chinese socialist modernization construction, it means that we must cause "The Second Revolution''of specific institution, on base of sticking to fundamental institution of socialism and go on opening up new institutional space.In the first section,we analyzed historical position or theoretical origin of Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation: Marx and Engles had established theoretical cornerstone for socialist institutional innovation; Lenin and Mao Zedong had put forward lots of original conception for setting up and perfecting of actual socialist institution. In the meantime, we analyzed that Deng Xiaoping sticked to the spirit of advancing with each passing times and pioneering innovation and then enriched and developed Maxism thoughts of institutional innovation.In the second section,we summarized and discussed the main conception of Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation including economic institution, political institution and cultural institution. (1)Deng Xiaoping thought that economic institutional innovation's aim is to build up socialist market economy's structure. He broke the idea that people had thought socialism and market economy conflicted with each other, and carried on a series of reform and innovation directing towards socialist market economy in practice. (2) Deng Xiaoping thought that political institutional innovation's core is socialist democracy. Headhered to basic point of political value combing socialist democracy with enthusiasm, efficiency and stabilization, and launched innovative practice that is deep, plentiful, bold and resolute.(3) Deng Xiaoping thought that cultural institutional innovation stands very high position in the whole socialist institutional innovation's system. So, cultural institutional innovation's realizing must take "Shi You" and "Shan Ge Mian Xiang" as value's orientation. In the third section, we analyzed the feature of Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation. Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation met the needs of the times and possessed uniquely theoretical quality and specific property. The paper analyzed its four main peculiarities.(1)Institutional innovation's logical start is preliminary stage of socialism.(2)Deng Xiaoping lain stress on better distribution of institutional resources.(3) The factors of people are lying on the outstanding position.(4)It is action, trial and practice that Deng Xiaoping emphasized in the course of innovation experiment and spreading.In the fourth section, we analyzed and clarified real inspiration of Deng Xiaoping's institutional innovation.
