The Analysis And Countermeasure Of Promoting Competitiveness Of Agricultural Product Of Jilin Province After Entering The WTO

Since entering new century, especially after our country joined the WTO, the situation and environment faced in agriculture of our country and rural economy development had changed unprecedented, this brings the severe challenge too after bringing to agriculture of our country the new opportunity for development. Jilin Province is a very important large province of agriculture in the whole country, how the agriculture of Jilin faces the opportunity, meets challenge, have already become the important subject in Jilin Province.The first part of this text point out the duality of agriculture of Jilin Province after entering the WTO. On one hand in the comparison of every province of the whole country, the agricultural production of Jilin Province has different characteristics from other provinces: The planting is high in specific gravity, and Jilin Province is a agricultural area taking grain-production as subject; Among grain cultivated area , rely mainly on maize , thus prepare the good resource condition for the development of the follow- up industry of the maize; The commodity grain base is in large quantity, form the area , extensive commodity grain production, grain commodity rate and per capita grain are competent, been occupying the first place in the whole country for many years; Grain-production occupies the important position among the rural economy, it is a main source of peasant's income; The animal husbandry based on resource of the maize is developed forward at quicker speed, form animal husbandry old basic frame of province tentatively , become an important meat output province of our country .On the other hand Jilin Province as an important grain main producing region faces market strike more mark able and violent than general agricultural district and other grain-production areas after the accession to the WTO. The agriculture of Jilin Province demonstrates obvious market fragility: International market low- priced maize entering the market of our country, will reduce Jilin Province market competitiveness of maize greatly, it will be more difficult to sell the grain; In the face of low-priced maize price, income level of peasant of Jilin Province presents obvious decline; The production of animal husbandry based on maize faces the serious output, quality competition pressure; Climatic conditions is unfavorable to the production advantage of industrial crops , planting structural adjustment faces very limited choice; Rural industrialization lags behind, peasants face the serious pressure on employment.
