A Study On The Motive Mechanism For The Town Development In Northwest Region Of Fujian Province

It is a practical way that tallies with the actual situation of China to turn the villages into towns in China.The achievements on town development in Northwest region of Fujian Province are outstanding,yet the problems are equally obvious.It proves that the scale of the town is not so broad,the point-off level is not so high,the overall layout is not so scientific and the natural resources turn out to be greatly wasted or left unused.The even more serious problems are that it lacks inner motivation of further development and lacks external attraction for investment as well.In addition,the pace of town development is evidently slower than that of industrialization. So it has been an urgent task for the region to construct efficient motive mechanism for the town development in order to speed up their development. So,by applying the theories of Maxism city development and the theory of socialist market economy to this task,and by gaining our own experience from the achievement of the research on the city growth mechanism by moderm western economics,this will greatly carry the town development in Northwest region of Fujian Provine to a new stage and at the same time it will surely provide very beneficial reference for the other less developed regions of our country.In light of the actual difficulty in further developing town ,this paper confines its research field to the Northwest region of Fujian Province(especially in the region of Sanming City).Its firstly makes analyses of the present conditions,characteristics and negative fluences of town development and then investigates into its source of motive and existing problems.And finally,after compared with the development motivation of towns in different nations,in different regions of China and during different periods,this paper brings up its active countermeasures on how advance steadily the town development in Northwest region of Fujian Province.
