Capital market is the result of the socialized mass production. As an important component of market economy, the capital market plays an important part in economic development. The capital market in our nation has developed and perfected for over ten years, it connects tightly with nation economy. It plays a very important role in some aspects such as capital collection, better resources allocation, promote industrial structure, execute limited cooperation, scatter risks, further innovation. Capital market has gradually made contributions to agricultural modernization and to the operation of agricultural industry (OAI).In the course of agricultural modernization, the OAI is another institutional innovation of China's rural economy after the household contract system. It settles some problems in agricultural development and has made contributions to solve the problem of "san nong" and promote the development of whole economy. But with the development of the market economy, especially after our entry into the WTO, some problems have exposed in the OAI, such as the shortage of fund, the backward of technology, non-symmetrical information, small scale, poor market competitiveness. All these factors hamper the further development of agriculture, among these, lacking of funds is the major factor to hamper the agricultural development in long term. The OAI is the course of promotion and adjustment of agricultural technology, industrial structure, industrial organization and so on. In this course, old ways are not suitable, and the OAI need further reform and innovation.The principal function of capital market is bettering resources allocation, allocating the scarce resource--fund into agriculture and rural area is a good way to solve the problem of "san nong" andrealize the agricultural modernization. Furthermore, the capital market can improve the level of the OAI in other factors, such as new technology, new agricultural productive method, new organizational system, rural market economy system, industrial structure, shared enterprise, capital operation, etc. If we make full of the capital market to develop the OAI, a large promotion will come about in the OAI. The agriculture will have a pivotal progression. This is the study significance of the dissertation.Making best of the capital market to develop the OAI, is the realistic choice of agriculture and the capital market. How to make of the capital market to solve the problems in the OAI, how to better the capital market to further the agricultural development, at the meanwhile, put forward some feasible suggestions is the destination of this dissertation. According to theoretic base of capital market and agriculture, this dissertation tries to study and analysis the capital market and the OAI, to explore the necessities and develop measures of making best of the capital market, and to supply the theoretic guidance for the further development of the OAI.
