Small Enterprises And Strategies Of Small Enterprises In Regional Economic Development

Small enterprises always hold an important post in the economic development around the world. With the reforming and opening policy being carried out, small enterprises become stronger and stronger in China. Especially in the 1990s', small enterprises have developed with a surprising speed. In some coastal cities, their contributions to the regional economic development are much more than those of big enterprises. According to these facts, we have to reconsider the importance of'small enterprises in regional economic development in order to discuss the necessary strategies of regional economic development and to make theoretical preparations.At first, in order to explain why I discuss the question here, this paper mentions the importance and significance of strategy researches about the regional economic development and of developments of small enterprises. Then, I discuss the smallerizing trend of enterprises in the international economic development and stress different theories of different scholars on the nature and existence of small enterprises. The main purpose of this paper is to provide the development of small enterprises and the strategies of small enterprises in regional economic development with a firm theoretical support. Based on these studied, this paper takes Hunan industry as an example, using empirical method, to compare and analyze the functions, status of industry small enterprises and the course of related economic developments in the industry and regional economic development in Hunan and other provinces of our countries. I do that from many aspects, such as: the scales and structures of enterprises and the achievements of enterprises. At last, I draw the conclusion that Hunan and other provinces of our country which are like Hunan province, under such circumstances, should mainly develop small enterprise which are dominated by private economy element.
