Study On The Export And Import Of Shandong Province

On the fact of vast area and uneven development of economy, our country has adopted a strategy of district tilt, point break and the steps degree push forward and so foreign trade development presents the unbalance condition among the provinces. Therefore, to establish a reasonable foreign trade development mode is meaningful to promote the economy to develop.The essay first overviews the international trade theories, foreign trade promoting economic development theories. Then brings up the characteristics, value of the foreign trade research with the main contents and takes Shandong province as an example. After calculating on a large quantity of foreign trade data, sorting and comparing on those results, it studies on foreign trade development scale of Shandong province, speed, etc. Finally is the conclusion on how to promote foreign trade. Main conclusion of this study is as follows:1. The current international trade theories and policy studies lay emphasis on analyzing the foreign trade research of one country, research on local area is less. Research on district foreign trade has much more realistic meaning.2. There are four main problems in Shandong' s foreign trade. First, the structure of foreign trade has not made a significant improvement. The second, the newly arisen and international market development have not gotten its goal. The third, the two main trade methods of general trade and processing trade contributes to the whole promotion equally. The last, foreign capital enterprises at foreign trade enjoy a prominent function.3. The essay finds out that the increase in quantity of those exported and imported products contributes mostly to the value increase through much calculation of price index numbers and quantity index number.4. Shandong province has priority in the exportation of products with intensive resources and labors; and has bad situation position in those products with intensive technique and capital.5. The calculation of RCA index shows that Shandong has an obvious advantage to other provinces on the exportation of primary commodities while a bad situation in industrial products especially those products with intensive technique and capital.6. The trade structure and form of the Shandong province is based on the comparative advantages. It doesn' t share much in the intra-industry foreign trade.
