The Analysis Of The Reform Of Chinese Household Register System

Strict two-dimension household register management system that cuts apart in urban and rural areas results from the planned economic system of our country. During nearly half a century, two-dimension household register system of our country has taken shape and become complete progressively. However, up to now, the two-dimension household register management system has already been recognized as the greatest obstacle of the urbanization and the modernization of our country. Undoubtedly, the current household register system must be reformed. After the founding of our state, the household register system has gone through three stages. In the early days of the founding of China, it was "freedom to more to any places "stage which last short. Beginning in the year 1958 was the stage in which it regulated strictly that permanent residence were prohibited from moving to other places; especially the rural population's moving from rural to urban areas were restrained .The third stage took place after the reform and open up policy was carried out. During this stage, the household register system is being reformed gradually and the main task is the population registration system reform in the small town. The reform of the household register system is the important content of the political reform, and it is the important measure to respect and ensure human rights. It is the ultimate goal of the household registers reform to implement the freedom of inhabiting moving of all citizens. This text attempts to analyze the history of developments of the household register and the drawbacks, which result from it. By this means, combined with the household register system reform which is carried out in the urban areas, it takes the advantage of the "advancing administration mode" to probe the way of the reform and puts forward several suggestions.
