| Core competence of enterprise is the source of enterprise sustained competitive advantage. At the same time, in the research into management theory and practice, we may find the formation of the core competence of enterprise is always accompanied with the appearance of core rigidities, and the latter may barrier enterprise creativity and make it lose competitive advantage. In view of this problem, this paper, on the basis of the explanation of the basic theory about enterprise core competence, analyses the concept, manifestations and dimensions of core rigidities and the main reasons for the appearance of them; it also points out that the nature of both core competence and core rigidities lies in the share, operation and innovation of knowledge resource inside the enterprise. Based on those mentioned above, the author suggests the strategy of knowledge management be carried out to govern core rigidities; and knowledge management be improved from such three aspects as organization, technology and culture; thus the new stream of knowledge continues appearing and it will be adopted to the four dimensions of core rigidities. In this way will "knowledge prohibition" and core rigidities be thoroughly overcome, so that the existing core competence can be maintained or new core competence can be formed. |
