Since the reform and the opening to the world, the Chinese pharmaceutical industry has got great development under the dual push from the reform in the economical system and in the scientifie system with the annual growth rate of 17.7%. It becomes one of the industries with rapid development. The total output of chemical medicine now is among the tops of the world. The bio-pharmaceutical industry now is near the level of the developed countries with the great support of the national policies, though it had a slow start. Meanwhile, the traditional Chinese medicine, the product of the national brilliant culture, attracts more and more concerns with its glamour, in the tide of "Return to the nature". But many problems also comes out in the industry, such as the long-domineering imitation medicine in the production, lack of investment into research and development of new medicines and products with intelligence property, the small medicine production scale and output and repeated construction of pharmacies in low standard, as well as low-developed scale economy brought out by unreasonable product structure.
