Any kind of great thought is the product of a specific period. Lenin' s peaceful diplomatic thinking is produced under the background that all kinds of contradictions became unprecedently acute in the period of imperialism, which resulted in the revolutionary movements of workers surged up all over the world and the first socialist country thus appeared. The forming of this thought saw a developing process from the desire of overall eruption of the world socialist revolution to peaceful coexistence with capitalism,the turning point of which is at the end of 1920 to the first half of 1921. In the earlier stage, in order to protect the first socialist regime, which was besieged by strong imperialism Lenin has ever hoped for socialist revolution in the west, which wonld support and help Russian revolution. In the later period, the national and international situation soviet Russia faced changed a lot. On one hand, the European proletarian revolution pnce developing vigorously has deteriorated. On the other hand, the party became to focus on the recovery of national economy. In this case, Lenin put forward the thoght of peaceful loexistence of different social system. No matter in the earlier or later period, Lenin emphasized that international contradictions, especially those within imperialism should be made good use of to divide and demoralize their line of battle against socialist regime, and to strive line of lasting world peace. It is just like a thread running through his thought of foreign policy of peace and the diplomatic practice, and is also the core of this thought. Additionally, this thought represents distinctively aseries of important principles, including the combination of firm principles and flexible strategies, achieving peace by straggle, proletarian internationalism, and patriotism, Therefore, Lenin's thought of foreign policy of peace has both historic and practical significance. It has enriched diplomatic thought of socialist countries, direted their diplomatic practice, supported and encouraged the struggle of proletariat and the oppressed people all over the would for freedom and liberation.
