| Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance &Engineering Company (short for GAMECO) is ajoint-venture company, the main business is aircraft maintenance. In recent years, with the great changes of the aviation marketing, the old operation managing pattern of GAMECO is not applicable any more, so the top management decides to improve the organization structure. Because the Hangar Maintenance Department is the most important part of company, the top management decides to carry out reforms on the organization structure of the hangar maintenance department firstly so as to improve the organization performance and staff performance, and satisfy the requirements of marketing. This reform focuses on changing the bureaucracy structure into matrix structure. In the course of improving organization structure, although the matrix structure makes up for the deficiency of bureaucracy structure, yet it also causes new problems, which makes the different opinions and ideas appear among the management and employees.Through analyze of the marketing environments and strategies, I think it's necessary for GAMECO to launch a reform transforming the bureaucracy structure into matrix as the situation changes. The reform just aims to find out the root reason about the problems appear in the organization structure adjustment by analyzing the organization structure, organization performance and production operating management. Additionally, analyzing the encouragement system and job characteristics to know well about the influence that the company policy brings to employees. From the above analysis, I suggest to build an effective production operating management pattern, an encouragement system, and a complete procedure to take good advantage of human resource in order to improve effectively the organization performance and staff performance through the organization structure reform. |
