This case introduces the strategy managing process of a state owned company.On the first presidencial meeting, the departments managers intuoduced their ownwork to the newly-seclected president, and so the main materials of the XintongTelecommucations Engineering Company was showned to the reader. In the age ofchina telcom reconstruction, the priviledges of Xingtong Company didn't existanymore. Wangjian, the new general manager, needed a strategy program to make thecompany take the leading position in the telecommucations construction market.In the case analysis part, the company's market share was analysed firstly. The authergot the conclusiong that the market share of Xintong Company was decreasing,pointed out that the company needed an overal strategy map. After the PESTanalysing, competision analysing, SWOT and TOWS matrix analysing, the autherrecordmended the right strategy map Xingtong Company needed.Facing the market enverment changing, the state owned company managers may havelittle experience on strategy managing. The thises may be valuable for them.
