Study On Activities Of Daily Living And Family Burden Of Handicapped People

ObjectiveThe paper studied on life status and correlative factors of the nanzicapped person and evaluated the family burden, provide reference and foundation for the government and welfare institution to set up policies so as to improve the quality of family life.MethodCombining cross sectional study with mathematical model, we study on the handicapped people' s Activities of Daily life and the family' s burden. We evaluate the family burden on handicapped persons synthetically with a fuzzy maths mathod. Analyze non-deformity life-span with life table. Result1, The handicapped ratio was 4.22%. The handicapped ratio of40-49years people was the highest(6. 72%). Dseases was the first causeof dsability (35.65%). Accident was the second cause of dsability( 33.19% ) . Disability may heavily infectd the natural1ife, especial1y to 40~49years people.2, The handicapped people lost a lot in the activity of daily living, With mul- variable regression analyse, we found healing effect, dumps, disability period , disability grade and illness maight affect the the activity of daily living.There are 81.68% handicapped people in blues, and 26. 37% in heavy dumps. Most bad mood mainly relate to activity of daily living, period of deformity and the family function.3 , The family burdens:The fee-for-service is different in different type of handicapped person, the spending of intellectualityand spirit deformity is 5230. SOyuan per year. Throught the synthetical evaluation of fuzzy, we found all the family with handicapped person were suffer from the heavy burden. , threr were 27. 6% of the total burden was cone from directly economy spending, while 23.4% was come from indirectly economy problem.There were 43.27%family members of handicapped people were in lumps, although deformity affect the family in various ways, but the cooperate and good-fellowship in handicapped family was better than normal family ,which imply that improve family function, economy status and do some health teaching to family member may improve the quality life of the family.More than 60% family member of handicapped people consider negative effect on amusement , atmosphere , harmonization and neighbor-ship, there are57. 7% family member said the most negative effect is on economy; 47. 6%and40.2%familymember reported that the second negative effect is on sprit and daily life, According to 68.8%and 74.8%family member reported that the effect on physical health and inner relation ship with family member is less.About 82.3% family members show that they need help from the community , 46.12% and 45.66%said that they are lack of rehabilitation and empoyment, especally36.35%replied that they need all of above.4, Measures and advices: measures are needed to be carried out for the prevention of disabilities. Rehabilitation Of handicapped people includes body healing and mental healing.xIn order to improve the quality life of the handicapped personand their family,we should do something to improve the family founction, ameliorate the economy status and do some health teaching to the family members.Conclusion1, The handicapped ratio of adult was 4.22% in Haizhu district of Guangzhou city. The ration in extremity deformity is 10. 59‰, The hanicapped ratio was 5.45% in male , while the female was3.28%, the difference was statistically significant. The handicapped ratio of 40-49years people was the highest, in order to prevent adult deformity effectively we should do more in prevent chronic disease and accident.2, There are 56.76% handicapped people had serious problems in some area of daily living, the Physical Activities of Daily Living in intellectuality and spirit deformity was the worst.
