Retail business is the important part of national economy. And the sale's amount and range of employment of it is one of the important factors that propose economic development. In addition, retail business is one of the most changeable and activity businesses in our country in these years. On one hand, because of the influence of economical globalization, electronic commercial affairs and china's entering WTO, the development of Chinese retail business is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities; on the other hand, Chinese retail business finished the changes of retail business's formation in a short time that the western countries have been conducting from the latter half of 19th century. But there are still many aspects demanding prompt perfection in theory research and practical operation, especially in the inquiry about the developing mode and strategically choice of Chinese retail business. It is mainly depended on the employee's careful groping in practice, having serious insufficient in theory inquiry. Therefore, to make all-round and systematic research about the developing mode and strategically choice of Chinese retail business is a research topic with important theory and practical significance.This article starts with macro-angle. It attempt to inquire the developing mode of Chinese retail business and the strategically choice, using the way that uniting theory and practice, combing static state with dynamic state. First, it makes systematic analysis and comparing analysis about the current developing condition and the difficulties existing of Chinese retail business. Then, it try to raise the total developing mode and single retail enterprises developing mode of Chinese retail business on the basis of expositing the circumstance change influencing the choice of Chinese retail business's developing mode. Finally, the article inquire the necessity of determining Chinese retail business's developing strategies, and conduct analysis of the developing strategies' choice of retail strategic groups, using the "dual-level analyzing" way.
