Patent is a very important part of science. Its level presents the technical level of a nation or a district. As the proceeding of society and economic, patent shows more affection on both macro economic and micro economic. Since 1985, when Chinese legislate the law of patent, the working of patent has a great promotion. It is composed of patent management, patent protection, patent service and patent implement. But as for patent statistics, the situation is not good. We have only the statistics of simple numbers of patent application and patent authorizing. So we can not get a whole known of the situation of patent, no mention to measure its attribution to economic and society.This paper want to research patent index and build a system of patent index. Furthermore, it discusses the patent attribution to economic.The whole paper has five parts as follows:Part 1, briefly explain patent, describe the patent level of Chinese and analysis its advantages and disadvantages. Then, start the problem to be discussed.Part 2, show the aim of patent research and system of patent index, then the stepsPart 3, build the fame of system of patent index, then create patent index and present explanations of indexPart 4, discuss and research the ability of patent output. Use stochastic frontier model to estimate the efficiency of patent output with Guangdong's data.Part 5, build the index of patent attribution, show the related theories, and using the statistical method to measure Chinese patent attribution to economic.
