The Developing STAR Company

Business Informatization (BI) is the basis of the National Economic Informatization and the most important factor in the promotion of the National Economic Informatization. With the development of the global Informatization, Chinese Informatization is continuously growing in range and depth, and going deeply on both macrostructure and microstructure levels. On the macrostructure level, we have built up 8 fibre-optic cables across our country from north to south and 8 fibre-optic cables from east to west. We have started "3-gold engineering" , highway of information, and have completed supporting system on policy and law. On the microstructure level, BI has been started already.This article is a case of Heilongjiang Star Company's BI reforming. In this article, I describe that, with the preconditions of asset reforming and organizational transformation in this company, using computer and intranet to transform old factory and to realize BI, to introduce Star company's informational management mode, to analyze the effect of BI in modern management, to notice something important in realizing BI. At last I provide the development strategy and countermeasure of Star company. The study of BI is an extensive field. There is no end to the pursuit of innovation. I believe that, with the development of BI theories, more and more companies will start BI engineering, and the level of BI's practice will be higher and higher. This case will be some advices to those managers to enthusiasm for transformation and to improve the competitiveness of companies.
