It is the important objective of the thesis to demonstrate the methodological sig-nificane of Marxist theoretical assumption on leaping over "Caudine Forks" to the historical process of socialism development and to broaden the developing space of socialism in the 21st century. The paper is mainly divided into five parts .Part One: Foreword. A newly-opened up field. This part ,by analysing the two basic rules of innovatory spirit and realistic approaching attitude of Marx, is to emphatically discuss the reason why Marx changed his studying direction in his remaining years.Part Two: Marxist theoretical assumption on leaping over "Caudine Forks" . The second part , through the background and main contents of Marxist assumption , is to mainly study the great methodological significane of the assumption.Part Three: Assumption and the practice of socialism in the past 20th century. The third part,after briefly recalling the revolution, construction and reform process and the two historic leaps and experiences lessons of socialism in the 20th century,is to probe into the methodological significance of summarizing the past experiences for socialism.Part Four: Assumption and the developing prospect of socialism in the 21st century. Part four is mainly to probe into the methodological significane of the theoretical assumption for socialism in future.Part Five Conclusion. Leapable and can not be leapable. From the angles of logic and history , theory and reality, this part is to point out the basic connotation of the assumption.
