| This dissertation is mainly about the study on the basic theory, characteristics and method of Management Information System's construction in enterprises.The whole paper includes four parts: Chapter 1 introduces the concept, the four stages, the structure and the newly development of MIS. At the same time, it also introduces some basic concepts such as information, information system, network, network system, internet, intranet, decision-making and strategy which are related to MIS, and discusses the relation between information and decision-making, between information and enterprise strategy, between network and network system.Chapter 2 mainly discusses the information technology's influence on the management of traditional industries and correlative economic environment. Section 1 discusses the information technology's influence on enterprise management, the three changes of the application of information technology, enterprise change and its frame of process. Section 2 discusses the information technology's influence on its correlative economic environment from four aspects. It points out that information technology strengthens the competition among enterprises,it improves the contact between enterprise and suppliers & clients, and improves the forming of enterprise ally because of competition. Section 3 discusses how to gain core competitiveness in information age, including the characteristics of information age, the relation between information industry and traditional industries, BPR, core competitiveness.Chapter 3 mainly discusses the four characteristics of MIS' construction in enterprises, especially in large enterprises: its variety of the demand, its hierarchical construction, its technical complexity and its difficulties and hardship when carrying out.Chapter 4 mainly discusses how to carry out a project of MIS in enterprises, especially in large enterprises. Section 1 discusses the obstacles of informationization caused by management rules: invalid information, false information and delayed information, and points out that the design of management rules should be done in advance if you want to carry out a project of MIS. Section 2 points out that an adviser who will support the administrator should be chosen to construct a MIS, and it gives special conditions to the adviser's quality. Section 3 discusses how to choose the equipment of a MIS correctly. Section 4 discusses the quality and responsibilities of the members, the training and development of talents in an information management department, and how to deal with the relation between the information management department of an enterprise and the service agent. Section 5 discusses the challenge of MIS' construction to traditional management, the reasons causing the failure of the construction of a MIS project. The paper stresses the point that the construction of a MIS project in an enterprise must be carried out by the administrator. It points out that the construction of a MIS project must be carried out by the administrator means that the senior administrator should often care for the construction; it means that there should be a team who have not only management knowledge but also technology knowledge; it means the leader of the team should have adequate duties and rights. |
