Dynamic Change Of Chinese Farmland And Environment Background Analysis

Change of farmland, important economic and strategic resource, affects our live and our country's production directly. Decreasing of farmland seems to be serious since later 1980s. Based on Chinese land-use data, Chinese Digital Elevation Model data and Chinese Meteorological data, using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). this paper presents a comprehensive and systematic research on dynamic change of Chinese farmland and analysis the reasons. What this dissertation studies includes:First, quantitatively computed change of Chinese farmland form 1980s to 2000. including the change type, change trend, change speed and spatial-temporal character;Second, researched the environment background of farmland change on different elevation, grade, rainfall, dryness-degree and average temperature;Third, analyst reasons of farmland increasing or decreasing;This paper concludes that change of Chinese farmland from 1980s to 2000 has obvious territorial character. Total area of Chinese farmland increased, although some people think it is decreasing. Decreasing only happens in some provinces. Environment background has important effect to farmland change The author hopes this paper can be helpful to research works relatively.
