| At the turn of the century , according to DengXiaoping's strategical conception of "Two General Situation" of common prosperity in both of the east and west parts of China , the Party s Third Generation Leader Collective with JiangZeming as the core , seized general situation and made carrying out the strategical policy-decision of developing the west of China , which means great changes of strategy for regional economic development. It must have great effect on the stable and coordinating development of our economy and society . This essay attempts to seek in the new situation the measures of the coordinating development of China s east, center and west and the new ideas of carrying out west development strategy, through analyzing the evolution of the strategy of regional economic development, and using the advanced experience of regional economic development of other countries for reference and integrating the present situation of our country s regional economic development on the basis of fully proving the success and failure of the past strategic patterns .
