Project management, as an important managing technique, had been originally practiced for great, expensive, strict progress systems after the Second World War. As a new subject, it is connected with administration science, operational research, cybernetics, mathematical statistics, and many other subjects closely. Today, there are many reasons for researchers to take more attention on it. For example, it dose not only improve the manager s efficiency, but also easily deal with intricate system bridging various subjects. Furthermore, it adapts social needs for teamwork. There are several ways to study project management. From the control point of view, this dissertation investigates the project management of construction, among which process management, quality management and cost management are core aspects. These studies focus on two aspects: one is the integrative platform; the other is the network arithmetic optimization. This dissertation is organized as follows: In the first chapter, the definition and characters of roject and roject management are introduced in detail. Then, the history, development, available technique, status quo, and others of them are discussed. Finally, their shortages are also pointed out on theory and engineering. Progress management is one of the important aspects among project management. In the second chapter, its structure is analyzed first, and then decomposed systematically. Based on this decomposed structure, the network platform for progress management is designed. Subsequently, the mathematical model of network optimization is given. In the third chapter, ynchronized control method is proposed. V That is, the cost control was synchronized with process control by the using of a network diagram. At the same time, some cost control interfaces and cost mathematical model are discussed deeply. Finally, how to apply the theory of arned value into the platform is considered. Considering the complexity and numerous quality indices of Quality Managemen, expert system model with fuzzy reasoning is put forward in the fourth chapter, and its reasoning algorithm is shown then. Besides, how to integrate quality into the integrative platform is also solved in this chapter. Following concept discussed in the second chapter, the idea of optimal model is dealt with in the fifth chapter. To find out the key route, various means are studied to solve some problems including scheduled time optimization, timeost optimization and timeesource optimization. Following that, their solving steps are illuminated. In the end, some measures to decrease calculative frequency are taken. The methods above are practiced in the sixth chapter, in particularly application of progress control. At the end of this dissertation, a brief conclusion is given. Then some future research areas and open problems in theory and engineering are highlighted.
