The Business Strateigy Study For Xi'an Rolling Stock Works

This paper takes XI'AN ROLLING STOCK WORKS as its study object. Firstly, the paper demonstrated the neccessity to make a strategic study for the works, and described the strategic study and development of the domestic and overseas enterprises. Based on the analysis, the paper put forward the opportunities and challenges faced with the works, the advantages and the disadvantages resulted from the internal conditions of the works, objectively evaluated the competition fierceness of the industry, the overall competition capacity and the strategic capacity of the enterprise. Through predicting the market development trend and the evaluating the strategic resources and capacity, the paper made a definition on the existing operational scope and the operational field that the works would be likely engaged, defined the strategic objective of the works, analyzed the factors that affect the strategic options of the works, put forward the alternative scheme of the overall enterprise strategy, which will be an important reference material in the decision-making of the works.With the principle of coming from the practice and servicing the works, the practicalness and the serviceability of strategic study is stressed. The paper, adopted the study method of combining theory with practice, employed strategic management, management science, marketing science, management economics, personnal resource management, accounting,_macroeconomics and other theories, on the basis of lull investigation and study of trades such as railway transportation, locomotive and rolling stock product manufacture, petro-chemical, etc., studied the problem of the strategic development of XI'AN ROLLING STOCK WORKS with ample data and verification, which has an important role to promote the enterprise to introduce strategic management thinking and put it on the top agenda of works management. Though thebackground material and data used in the paper is from XI'AN ROLLING STOCK WORKS, the paper has a positive reference value for the similar state-owned large enterprises to carry out strategic management, particularly for the railway rolling stock manufacture enterprises.
