| The sustained development of international trade on one hand promotes the gross of global economy. On the other hand, it brings about a series of environmental problems. This thesis analyzes the source of the environmental problems derived from trade liberalization from the economics point of view and elaborates the environmental barriers in export, the transference of foreign pollutants in import and foreign capital utilization. Finally, it puts forward tentative measures for the sustainable development in foreign trade. The second section combines the qualitative analyses with the quantitative one, and it combines the positive with the normative. The anafysis and proof in Part II strive to be comprehensive and objective, so that the conclusions are scientific and of theoretical guidance. The countermeasure section proposes that China should regard the development of environmental industry as the strategic focus to ensure China抯 sustainable development in foreign trade in the 21st century. Moreover, international exchange and cooperation are also emphasized in the paper so as to achieve global internalization of environment cost. Besides, the reality of the foreign trade in China is also taken into consideration.
