Located in the southern border of China and surrounded by mountains at its west, north, east and sea at its south, Lingnan region is a relatively closed geographical unit. Before Qin and Han Dynasty, Lingnan didn't communicated with Central Plains frequently. After Emperor Qin Shihuang unified Lingnan,Nanyue was established and Emperor Han Wudi conquered Nanyue, the cultural exchanges between the two regions became more and more frequent. It is in the exchanges that the Chinese culture gradually formed. The exchange process could be observed in the tombs of that time.There are a large number of small and medium tombs of Western Han Dynasty in Lingnan region, which provides many materials for the study of related issues. Firstly, based on basic materials and combined with previous research results, the article analyzes the tomb materials with typology to work out the time order of the tombs of Western Han Dynasty in Lingnan region.Secondly, the article studies the dissemination,communication and integration of the culture by analyzing the cultural factors contained in the tomb materials. At last, based on the research above, the article made a conclusion that equality and mutual respect among peoples made the rapid spread of foreign culture and the formation of Chinese culture in Lingnan region experienced three stages:confrontation, acceptance, recognition.
