He Luo Region is located in the innermost part of the middle, which is the centre of economy and culture from of old. During western and eastern Han Dynasties, this region was paid more attention to for its special political status. From the middle and late western Han, the agriculture of He Luo Region progressed rapidly, new tools and new technologies were widely applied, and the farm produce was on the increase, which was said to be the richest all over the country. the archeological materials unearthed here indicated:large amounts of iron farm tools applying to all steps of traditional agriculture and advanced skill about applying cattle to cultivate field presented the advanced cultivate police of fine agriculture here, the application of earthen water pipes and the tools of drawing water continuously reformed, farm irrigation kept developing, With the irrigation works developing and the technique of riceplanting improved,wheat, rice, millet became the main crops here,which is the own characteristic of He Luo Region, Large amounts of the grain storage facilities and grain processing outfits, widely distributing.in this region, showed its high output. Large quantities of poultry and cattle, pen and toilet pottery models presented the flourish of its stockbreeding, also indirectly indicated the blosoming of its agriculture.
