The Runqiang Study Of Yanqiu Cheng On Peking Opera

Yanqiu Cheng is famous for creating an unique genre of Peking Opera. And his art style reflects on his singing, especially on Runqiang features. This article is to study Yanqiu Cheng's methods and features of Runqiang. And the most representative of his famous work "HuangShanLei" and "SuoLinNang" are the major study objects. By studying Runqiang of them is to analyze features of the art genre of Yanqiu Cheng. The so-called Runqiang study, has so far seen mostly from the perspective of performance practice to summarize the Runqiang methods, so as to better performance. But the author of this article is from the musicology point of view, to explore the mystery of Yanqiu Cheng aria art with the special and complex music phenomenon as a breakthrough. By summaring Runqiang methods and characteristics, to reveal some of the rules and characteristics of Yanqiu Cheng's singing art.This article formed by three parts. The first part mainly introduces the concept, role of Runqiang, relevant research and some content about Yanqiu Cheng singing. The second part focus on the analysis of Yanqiu Cheng Runqiang from four properties of Runqiang (sound nature, intensity, rhythm, pitch),.The third part is the analysis from Runqiang's two functions. The two types of analysis is to attain Yanqiu Cheng Runqiang methods and induct its characteristics. The result can provide the standard of Cheng's style and to lay the foundation of exploring the mystery of the Cheng's art.
