The Tenor Section In Chinese Opera

The art of opera is a combination of music, drama, literature, dance and design which appeared in Italy during renaissance. However, the Chinese opera which appeared in the 20th of last century is enjoying hundred years of history. The Chinese opera met with both chances and obstacles. It has different features during different period. Enormous amount of masterpieces are including both high and low level. But they all devote to developing the Chinese opera in the future.This assay pays attention on the tenor roles in the Chinese opera. As a professional tenor learner, I analyze the definition, skills, culture background, role playing through the course of learning and performing.As one of the most important parts in the opera, tenor section should be given more concern. But there is few research of the role performing and definition and development of tenor section. I'd like to take the advantage of my experience of playing many different roles in different opera to give some useful opinions of tenor development.
