The Study Of TV Dramas Production Management Based On Total Quality Management

At present, China's TV dramas industry chain has been basicly shaped, and the degree of its market is the highest among all media industries. With the overall development trend, the quality problem of TV dramas has become increasingly prominent. In this thesis, total quality management(TQM) theory is introduced into TV dramas production to solve the quality problem, exploring a whole new perspective to TV dramas production management.TQM is a business philosophy which is quality-centered and customer demand-centered. The main features of TQM is the emphasis on quality management activities during the whole process and total involvement. TQM soughts to implement the quality management in each work of the whole process, and encourages all employees to participate in management activities to enhance the quality consciousness of all employees.The application of TQM in second and third industry of China could be used as an reference to the application of TQM in TV dramas production. The urgent need of innovation in management style and philosophy TV dramas production management, as well as t the quality problem, requires the introduction of TQM into TV dramas production. The marketization of industry and the enterprise management policy of TV dramas production organizations, provide good conditions for the introduction of TQM.Compared to the TQM in general business, TQM of TV dramas production is different in the product, production process, Manager, organizational structure, market environment and other aspects. These particularity requires that the manager take appropriate supervisor mode under the circumstances,in the application of TQM in TV dramas production, not just applying the theory mechanically.This thesis focuses on the application of quality-centered philosophy, the application of qulality management of whole process and related management methods. From the perspective of production process, this thesis integrates concepts and methods of TQM into the planning, shooting and service of TV dramas, improving the quality of TV dramas by improving the quality of each process.The key to improve the quality of TV dramas, is to improve the quality of TV dramas planning which includes:market research, script planning, cost estimate and financing management. The key of TQM in TV dramas shooting is to set up crew, make shooting plan and control and check the quality of shooting during the process. TV dramas service is the marketing of TV dramas, including publishing and feedback.
