Talking about the local study on God, which is to be better in Jiangsu, Zhejiang province and the southeast coast; for the object, the researchers focus on these gods with high visibility, greater impact of the Temple God in the country, such as Guan Yu, God, Five truly inspired, Cheng Huang, Matsu. With abundant historical documents, inscriptions recorded and real-life empirical objects, such as scattered around the temple, etc., causing a greater impact for the Temple of God of this research study to be the mainstream of folk beliefs. However, in popular belief systems, There is historical context often has a glorious past, but is now declining, or in the official Temple Code has not been formally bestowed on the number, but at the local level have a greater influence of local gods. These areas for the history of the place has a unique perspective on research, but often ignored by us. In view of this, the paper elects the Bishan God which has wide influence local spirits in the Eastern Sichuan region as a case study in order to research Limited changes to the local god and its local community in different periods of described. In the process, we realize the Bishan of God does not exist in isolation, which has connection with the whole nation under the official policy of the sacrifice, but also affected by the mainstream religion of Buddhism and Taoism. They are the major part of our investigation in belief of God therefore Bishan production and promotion process. This article documented the Bishan elegant Beliefs through a combination of history, local history, inscriptions and field evidence of the way, inferring the historical context of from the folk belief of God produces the development of local factors.Paper consists of six parts in total. The first section is an introduction to this article in a concise exposition of ideas. We try to dig out the research value of belief in Bishan God with the research trends of the Folk belief systems, and get by comprehensive consideration of faith in God, and thus reflect changes in belief systems of local populations.The section two is talking about the concept of civil religion to discuss in a broad sense. Currently the research of the folk beliefs is in the ascendant, but its definition shows a variety of perspectives. A kind of folk faith thinks of that which is not a complete social community. Another popular belief system of religious and non-textual, that it is a "Religion" (Popular Religion) of the independent identity and existence.The third section describes the life of Bishan God and the conditions to be God. This is also an important part of the text. Relying on Japanese scholar Bin Wendun Jun'viewpoint about the conditions for the local concept of God as God, we research the Bishan God from three different, righteousness of God before his death, apparitions and the official title after the death , and then it is the most important to research the official title for the problem. Here, we introduced the official worship of God for faith formation and spread of Bishan God significance and Why the Bishan Temple of God can be incorporated into the official code of sacrificial system?Section four introduces the diversity of functions of Bishan God, primarily from three aspects. Military functions, the functions of flood and drought resistance, commercial functions less based on the literature's sake. In this paper, we research the relationship between the Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Bishan God, and then extended to a hot research field in the current folk belief which is retaliation with the popular belief and the relationship. The last section is the conclusion.
