Li Yu was a famous drama theorists, writers, thinkers, aesthetics in Ming and Qing Dynasties. "Xian Qing Ou Ji" was one of the most important works in his life. The book is an aesthetic works related art, life and many other aspects, which can be regarded as a social encyclopedia of ancient China.Ming and Qing Dynasties, near to the end of feudalism, was a culmination of aesthetics, full of self-liberation of Personality. "Xian Qing Ou Ji,", a book with a summary of the nature of Li Yu's art practice, advocated a leisure amenity of the aesthetic way of life and the book was full of "self" awakening consciousness. The aesthetic trend coincided Ming and Qing Dynasties. This article attempted to grasp and analyze the " Xian Qing Ou Ji, "aesthetics, its predecessors, future generations of inheritance based on the times that the author lived in and the aesthetic thoughts at that time, from the perspective of traditional Chinese aesthetics.In the preamble of the article, the author conducted a simple sort of "Xian Qing Ou Ji" in aesthetics research, confirmed the results of previous studies, also pointed out that the predecessors'study of the aesthetics of Li Yu lack of complete and systematic explanation. The author believed that only fully grasp the play and landscape aesthetics of Li Yu'thought and to put both the aesthetic thought in the Ming and Qing period to examine, should people fully grasp the aesthetic thinking of Li Yu, and reveal its value and significance better. Except for the preface and the conclusion, the article composed of three parts. The first chapter focused on the relationship among Li Yu,"Xian Qing Ou Ji" and the aesthetic thought in of Ming and Qing dynasties. By mastering Li Yu's life and aesthetic thought of "Xian Qing Ou Ji", investigating the relationship between the Ming and Qing aesthetic thought, the first chapter summarized that Li Yu's aesthetic thought was affected by his life experiences, social background and cultural background. The second chapter discussed Li Yu's aesthetic thought, in play and director aesthetics, which is the most artistic part of the value and aesthetic means in "Xian Qing Ou Ji". Aesthetics of Li Yu's plays are inherited from the predecessors; what's more, they are accumulated simple theory of art from Li Yu's own practice, which are consistent with the aesthetic rules. The third chapter discussed the aesthetics of Li Yu's garden and room that is very important aesthetic thought got from Li Yu's own practice of building gardens. It emphasized its garden room aesthetics character and spirit, explained Li Yu's pursuit of innovative self- fitness, respect for nature's aesthetic ideal.This article summarizes the aesthetic value and modern significance of Li Yu's "Xian Qing Ou Ji" in the final conclusion, pointing out that the personalized aesthetic point of view and rich art practice provide valuable theoretical resources for the study of aesthetics in the Ming and Qing periods. Also, "leisure amenity"attitude showing in aesthetics thought of Li Yu has certain directive significance for the building of our current aesthetic system. It also pointed out that Li Yu's thought has some limitations contained in the feudal dross, and we should inherited Li Yu's aesthetics thought critically.
