In China,when people talk about poetry,they always think that the grand of the poetry will be bound to belong to "Tang" dynasty,and the perfection of the Ci is certainly attributed to "Song" dynasty.In Chinese Poetics field,there is a general point of view that Song poetry is great bad than Tang poetry.While, if you go to appreciate and carefully observe Song poetry with objective attitude,you will know it is not all the facts. Out of question,Tang poetry has his own splendour and glory,but Song poetry also has implied the remarkable glamour and brightness.When Tang poetry isn's splendid any longer, poets live in Song dynasty go on to write poems with the pen,they are also able to express what they want to say,or to think,or to reflect. "Writing bridges into Song poetry" just is the classic case.My graduation dissertation for A.M. is based on it,I use all kinds of method such as observation,distinguishment,analysis,generalization, summary to study and research bridges' image and meaning in Song poetry.Why does my graduation thesis must solid found on "Song poetry"? Firstly, Song bridge poetry is more comprehensive, in The Complete Collection of Song Dynasty Poems,it's more than 5000 poems,and, far more than the Tang dynasty's——not to mention other dynasties;Secondly,Song bridge poetry is more typical,bridges not only had been written to express the various sensitive subtle feelings and emotions of poets,but also to reveal a variety of deep thought of philosophy, Including Zen by poets; Thirdly, Song bridge poetry is more of inheritance and initiative,Song dynasty is just in the middle period of the China feudal society, at this era node,there are more favourable conditions for summing up and succeeding to the achievement of bridge poetry before Song dynasty, at the same time,poets in Song dynasty can well develop their pioneering and innovative spirit,all these achievements also can,then,set a good example to all poets after Song dynasty; fourthly,above all,we should pay close attention that Song bridge poetry is more of complexity,because the identity of poets in Song dynasty had been more and more complex, the literary forms of Song dynasty had been more of diversity, humanistic and cultural tradition had also been more of vitality,and all aspects of thought, society, economy, custom,ect,were unique in that times;At last,in my opinion,I think that the relevant studies and classic academic works on the poetry of Tang dynasty and before are rich today,but we should also let studies and researchs on Song dynasty poetry to go further.
