Research On Addressing Terms In Book Of Song Dynasty

Addressing terms, an embodiment of the national culture, is also an important part of Chinese ancient civilization. This article had a considerable research on the Addressing terms in the Book of Song Dynasty. Book of Song Dynasty, which has more than one point two million words, has over two thousand Addressing terms, including four hundred relative addressing terms, one thousand and five hundred addressing terms used in social contact. The research on Addressing terms in the Book of Song Dynasty can not only have an extensive and meticulous perspective on the addressing terms system, but also help us know the society,politics,culture and life in Liu Song period in Nan Dynasty.The concept of addressing terms is blurried, so the article redefines the terms.We think addressing terms should include the names of the official posts, throw out pronouns people's name and surnames.Addressing terms are divided into relative addressing terms and addressing terms used in social contact, and the relative addressing terms are divided into four spects.Comparing with the relative addressing terms in San Guo Zhi,Shi Shuo Xin Yu,we find that relative addressing terms in the Book of Song Dynasty are rich and colorful.The Book of Song Dynasty used to use many different words to indicate one relative addressing term, which is a distinct characteristics of the book. At the meantime, part of the relative addressing terms in the book retained some features of remote age, and reflected some transiting features that single words and double-phonetic words exist side by side. Addressing terms used in social contact are also rich, espically the names of the official posts. In depth analysis, we learned the official system of the Liu Song period in Nan Dynasty.SanGong became the honour of ministers, the power is shifted to senior officers in the department of Three Sheng.That embodies the feudal emperor's requirement to enhance the centralized power,and lays a good foundation for the formation of Three Sheng system.The main body divides into three chapters.Chapter one glances at the concept,the research condition of the addressing terms and the meaning of the thesis.Chapter two make an exhaustive analysis on the relative addressing terms in the Book of Song Dynasty. We compare the relative addressing terms in the book with San Guo Zhi,Shi Shuo Xin Yu,and find some rulesChapter three discuss the addressing terms used in social contact in the Book of Song Dynasty. This chapter includes universal addressing terms used in social, loyal or imperial addressing terms, civil and military officers addressing terms, courtesy address and name in the book.Through careful analysis on the name of of the official posts, we learned the official system of the Liu Song period in Nan Dynasty, and the Monks in Nan Dynasty had a trend of edge-ization.
