On the one hand, in the "Ritual" process, with a series of personnel changes and political reform measures having started, a special occasion of the political situation that Zhengde formed changed at that time, and the central power structure and its mode of operation produced a sustained effect later. Cabinet power which had been enlarged in special historical conditions in the Period of late Zhengde and early Jiajing Reigns fell in confrontation with the imperial system. Cabinet power's independence was canceled, and attached to imperial power again. Emperor Jiajing completed the reconstruction of the imperial authority. On the other hand, Yangming's "Conscience Theory" had been widely recognized by the group of scholars in the society and academia, and promoted the changes in social thought.
