Reseach About Piano Accompany For Chinese Traditional Instrument Zheng

Piano accompaniment is a comprehensive performing art . It includes techniques of piano playing , harmony, polyphony, form of music and orchestration and so on . They play an essential function in playing in content and styles of musical compositions . Zheng is an old instrument in our country which implys our national flavor and inherits archaic Chinese rhymes ,and it is called"Eastern Piano". Today , some composers combined piano with Zheng , which two are different in rhythm , tone and thinking of playing ( linear in China but stereoscopic in West ) and have created a number of compositions which have a new age time .In this thesis , I will introduce Zheng and piano in construction , characteristics in tone , and techniques of playing to emphasize the determinism of the players'comprehensive abilities in piano accompaniment . After analysing"Eternal Regret of Lin'an"and"Overlord in the West Chu"two compositions , I will explain that , integrated western with Chinese brings us a certain artistic value in paraphrasing and playing Chinese compositions also in showing our national style .
